Queens, NY – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Astoria Blvd near Steinway St

Queens, NY (October 23, 2023) – A pedestrian has died as a result of a hit-and-run accident that took place in the Astoria section of Queen. The accident occurred on Saturday morning, October 21.

According to reports provided by the New York Police Department, at around 4:00 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Astoria Boulevard near Steinway Street.

The vehicle, identified as a BMW, was traveling eastbound on Astoria Boulevard when it struck the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the collision.

The pedestrian, identified as a male victim, was transported to Elmhurst Hospital. He passed away from his injuries after arriving.
