Car Accidents in New York
A motor vehicle accident can severely disrupt your life. Unfortunately, we see countless victims who are left with severe trauma to the head, internal organ injuries, and other severe injuries as a result of collisions that occur every year in our state.
Far too often, these accidents are caused by drivers who are negligent and reckless. Impairment tends to be one of the leading factors in many accidents across our state. When drivers are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, there is a significant chance that they will not be able to operate their vehicles safely. As a result, those who are impaired are more likely to lose control of their vehicle and crash into others who are traveling nearby. They are also less likely to make decisions responsibly, and, as a result, it is common for these drivers to travel the wrong way on the roadway and cause accidents that severely harm others.
If a drunk driver has caused an accident that sent you to a local hospital with injuries, it is important that you understand the legal options that you have.
