Staten Island, NY – Auto Collision at Hylan Blvd & Cromwell Ave Ends in Injuries
Staten Island, NY (September 8, 2023) – A crash reported in the old town section of Staten Island sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries.
The New York Police Department was notified of the crash at around 1:20 p.m. on September 6.
According to reports provided by NYPD, a collision between vehicles took place on Highland Boulevard near Cromwell Avenue. The incident blocks multiple lanes, causing severe delays in the area.
Due to the extent of damage, at least one of the vehicles was spilling fuel and liquid on the roadway. This prompted officials to close down a portion of the road while they assisted with cleanup.
Two tow trucks were requested at the scene to remove the damaged vehicles.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for medical care.
The accident is being investigated.
