Queens, NY (January 30, 2023) – A teenager was killed in a fatal car accident that took place on a highway in Queens on the evening of Sunday, January 29.

According to New York State Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Belt Parkway around the area of Farmers Boulevard. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area at a high speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash and sustain severe damages.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Paramedics found that a 15-year-old male passenger inside the vehicle was thrown from the vehicle. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. An adult male was also rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead while there.

Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was identified as a 19-year-old man. He was taken to the hospital and has been listed in stable condition.

Several eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays in the area.
