Queens, NY – Officers Injured in Car Accident at 35th Ave & 31st St Intersection
Queens, NY (June 16, 2023) – Two officers sustained injuries in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Queens on the morning of Wednesday, June 14.
According to Queens Police, the accident happened around 10:51 a.m. at the intersection of 35th Avenue and 31st Street. Police confirmed that a police vehicle was traveling in the area when they were involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not entirely known. Both vehicles sustained immense damage as a result of the collision.
Several responders, including Queens paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene. Two officers inside the police cruiser sustained injuries in the collision. They sustained a head injury and a leg injury and were both transported to the hospital for treatment. Nobody else was hurt as a result of the collision, according to police.
