Queens, NY (April 29, 2023) – Around 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, a five-vehicle collision with injuries took place at an intersection in Queens. 

According to Queens officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Long Island Expressway and Grand Avenue. Police confirmed that five vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided at the intersection due to reasons that are not yet known. The five vehicles were badly damaged, and all had to be towed away from the scene by tow trucks. 

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. It was reported that multiple parties sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known. 

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time until police cleared the scene. This led to extensive delays in the area.
