Queens, NY (April 28, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a hit-and-run car accident that took place at an intersection in Queens on the morning of Friday, April 28. 

According to officials, the accident happened just after midnight at the intersection of Lefferts Boulevard and Belt Parkway. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene following the accident. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene after the collision. One or more parties inside the vehicle that remained at the scene were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known. 

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time after the accident. This led to delays after the accident. 

Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident. They also did not say if they will be facing charges. 

No further details have been released, but police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
