Queens, NY (April 27, 2023) – Around 10:29 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, April 27, a two-vehicle collision with injuries took place at an intersection in Queens.

According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Rockaway Boulevard and 106th Street in the morning hours. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles, identified as a Toyota SUV, sustained heavy front-end damage due to the collision. A tow truck was seen removing it from the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more parties were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes at the intersection for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.

We want to offer our warmest sympathies to the parties who have sustained injuries in this accident.
