Queens, NY (June 1, 2023) – A woman sustained severe injuries in a pedestrian accident that took place in Queens on the afternoon of Thursday, June 1.

According to Queens Police, the accident happened around 1:17 p.m. at 1827 Flushing Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The pedestrian became pinned under the vehicle as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Queens responders were dispatched to the scene. The woman, who has not yet been formally identified, sustained a head injury in the accident. She was conscious when EMS crews arrived to take her to the hospital. Her current condition is not yet known.
