Long Island, NY – Woman Killed in Car Crash at 10th Ave & W 213th St
Long Island, NY (December 7, 2023) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in the Inwood neighborhood on Monday evening, December 4. The accident took place on 10th Avenue.
Reports provided by the New York Police Department show that a Lamborghini was traveling through the area during the evening hours. For reasons unknown, the 22-year-old man driving the vehicle ran a red light. A police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over. However, the driver fled the scene, prompting a police pursuit.
Officers followed the vehicle for an unknown distance. As the Lamborghini passed through the intersection of 10th Avenue and West 213th Street, it crashed into a Hyundai, causing the driver of the vehicle to lose control. The Lamborghini slammed into an aboveground 1 train subway pillar before bursting into flames. A 21-year-old female involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lamborghini was transported to an area hospital for emergency care.
