Queens, NY (April 2, 2023) – A hit-and-run accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Queens on the night of Sunday, April 2.

According to Queens Police, the accident happened at 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 44th Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was crossing the street in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle fled the scene without stopping.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need.
