Queens, NY (December 17, 2023) – Officers with the New York Police Department assisted area firefighters at the scene of a car crash that occurred in the Bayside section of Queens.

The NYPD was notified of the crash at around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, per authorities. According to official reports, at least two vehicles collided on the Cross Island Parkway at Exit 25, blocking most of the southbound lanes of the highway. The car crash then prompted the police and the New York Fire Department to shut down the area near the Southern State Parkway. Emergency medical services were called to care for those who were injured. At least one of the drivers or passengers who were involved in the crash was transported to a local medical facility, though their current condition is unknown. NYPD is currently investigating the incident.
