Queens, NY (March 5, 2023) – At 6:46 p.m. on the evening of Friday, March 3, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident at an intersection in Queens.

According to New York State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of the Van Wyck Expressway Service Road and 107th Avenue. Police confirmed that 41-year-old Anthony Ramjit was traveling in the area in his Chevrolet Traverse when he suddenly struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local Queens responders were dispatched to the scene immediately. The pedestrian, identified as 23-year-old Tecinna Bahadur, was severely injured and rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She was tragically pronounced dead while there due to these injuries.
