Queens, NY – Car Accident with Injuries Reported on Long Island Expressway near Exit 17W-E

Queens, NY (August 29, 2023) – On August 28, officers with the New York Police Department and the New York Fire Department responded to provide help on-site at a crash in the Blissville neighborhood.

According to NYPD, a collision between vehicles blocked several lanes on the Long Island Expressway at around 11:40 p.m. The incident prompted the FDNY to shut down the roadway near Exit 17W-E as they removed the involved vehicles from the road.

Injuries were reported due to this crash. At least one person was transported by FDNY Ambulance to a local hospital for medical care.
