Queens, NY (April 13, 2023) – At 2:19 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, April 13, a child was injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in Queens.

According to Queens Police, the accident happened at the intersection of 127th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard. Police confirmed that a child was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to unknown reasons. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The child, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
