Queens, NY – One Killed in Three-Car Crash on Long Island Expy
Queens, NY (November 23, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Queens area claimed one person’s life. On November 19, the New York Police Department responded to the site of a major, multi-vehicle accident.
Reports from local news sources show that at around 4:30 a.m., 24-year-old Reginald Nash was driving east on the Long Island Expressway in a Honda Accord when his vehicle crashed into an attenuator. As a result of the collision, the vehicle spun out and collided with a Toyota RAV-4. The RAV-4 then collided with a Kia near the Greenpoint Avenue overpass.
One person was ejected from their vehicle. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Cameron Mency, was rushed to a local hospital, where he later passed away. Two additional victims, a 22-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman, were both injured. The two victims were hospitalized in critical condition. The crash is currently under investigation.
