Queens, NY – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Cross Island Pkwy

Queens, NY (August 14, 2023) – Early Monday morning, August 14, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on a highway in Queens.

According to NYPD officials, the accident happened around 5:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Cross Island Parkway just north of the Southern State Parkway. Police confirmed that a woman was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. It is believed that the driver remained on scene after the accident.

Several Queens responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need.
